Clean vehicles are like normal vehicles. That is the opinion of almost everbody having used the opportunity to, free of charge, try a clean vehicle in Stockholm.
Almost everybody who answered the questionair from Stockholm Environmental Administration - after having used a clean vehicle for a week - was satisfied with the function of the vehicles. The clean vehicles are fuelled by biogas, ethanol or electricity, i e renewable fuels.
But there is also critism. Poor acceleration and less motor power is mentioned, as well as that the petrol tank is not suffient enough. But half the test drivers states that they are willing to buy - and even to pay a higher price - for a clean vehicle.
Slightly less than hundred companies and organisations have borrowed clean vehicles from Stockholm Environmental Health Administration. Two out of three have answered the questionaire that accompanied the vehicle. - It is positive that most people who have used our offer are pruchasers in charge for vehicles in companies, says Björn Hugosson, in charge for the campaign about clean vehicles. We want to increase the sales of clean vehicles. Now one out of hundred new vehicles on the market is a clean vehicle. Next year it ougt to be four out of hundred.
Clean Vehicles also subsidies clean vehicles with up to 15 000 SEK. The money is provided through the european project Trendsetter.
